For many years now the city decks up with lights and sets the mood for the celebration. If you happen to be in the city during this time then do not miss a visit to Park Street. The area is decorated with lights and people from everywhere come to see it. Park street has some very old eating joints along with the new ones and people love to be there to dine, see the lights and just feel the vibe of the place.

rencontre ayrault There is the enter St Paul’s Cathedral near Rabindra Sadan, which is walking distance from Park street. It is the oldest and largest cathedral of Kolkata which has beautiful gothic architecture and a perfect setting. The cathedral stands tall just opposite Victoria memorial and equally attracts tourists as well as locals. The lawns are decorated with scenes created when Jesus was born, the merchants bringing gifts, etc. The midnight mass on 24th is something to experience.

click Oxford book store located in Park street is one of the oldest and famous bookstore in Kolkata. It is one of my favorite place that I often visit to sip coffee or tea in the Cha Bar (café) on the store’s 1st floor. It can be termed as a booklover’s heaven. The store is decorated with lights during Christmas and New Year and one can find the café packed with people for tea, coffee and some adda (conversation on various topics).
